Since moving to the Pacific Northwest, I’ve rediscovered the love for photography and visual self-expression that once inspired me to be a filmmaker. Though I left that path several years ago, it has been wonderful to rediscover the joy and peace I feel when connecting intimately with the natural world.
Photography is something I do simply for the joy of it; getting up close and personal with the living world calms and centers me like nothing else. It is a way of contemplating the divine that is effortless and – in the beautiful state of Washington -almost always available.
Let these images inspire you as they have me. Look closely at the infinite variety of Mother Nature’s designs and – whether your inclinations are more rational or mystical – I dare you not to find fascination with the myriad of patterns, textures and colors.
